At Sea Brand, we believe in collaboration and refinement to ensure that your project aligns perfectly with your vision. This guide explains how our revision process works, how to provide effective feedback, and what to expect during the revision cycle.
What Are Revisions?
A revision is any change or adjustment you request to an ongoing project. This could involve modifying a design, adjusting copy, or refining elements to better match your expectations.
Revisions are a standard part of our process and help ensure you receive a final product that meets your needs.
✅ Examples of Revisions:
• Changing a colour scheme in a design
• Adjusting typography or layout
• Modifying copy or messaging
• Replacing an image or asset
❌ Revisions Do Not Include:
• A complete redesign of a project after approval of an initial concept
• Additional work outside the agreed scope
• New requests that weren’t included in the original brief
If your request falls outside the revision scope, we’ll discuss options for additional work.
How to Request a Revision
All revision requests should be made within the client portal under the specific project request. This keeps all feedback organised and ensures smooth communication.
Steps to Submit a Revision:
Go to Your Project Request
• Log into your Sea Brand client portal
• Open the request you want to revise
Click “Request Revision”
• Use the comment section to provide feedback
• Be clear about the changes needed
Attach References (if needed)
• Screenshots, examples, or marked-up images can help clarify your request
Submit Your Revision
• Our team will review and confirm the next steps
Important: If you need to discuss changes before submitting a revision request, use the chat in the bottom right corner for support and guidance.
Providing Effective Feedback
To make the revision process efficient, clear and constructive feedback is essential.
Best Practices for Feedback:
✔️ Be Specific: Instead of saying “I don’t like this,” say “Can we try a warmer colour palette?”
✔️ Use Examples: If you have a reference, attach it for clarity.
✔️ Group Feedback Together: Sending multiple small requests separately can slow the process.
✔️ Focus on Solutions: Instead of pointing out what doesn’t work, suggest what might work better.
✔️ Stay Within the Scope: Ensure requests align with the original project agreement.
How Long Do Revisions Take?
The turnaround time for revisions depends on the complexity of the changes.
Typically:
Small tweaks (text changes, minor design adjustments): 1-2 business days
Medium revisions (layout adjustments, multiple copy changes): 2-4 business days
Large revisions (complex design alterations, major content restructuring): 5+ business days
If your request requires additional time, we’ll keep you updated.
What Happens After a Revision?
Once we complete the revision, you will receive an update in your project request. You can:
✅ Approve the revision if you’re happy with the changes
🔄 Request further adjustments if needed
📩 Ask questions via the ManyRequests chat if you need clarification
Once all revisions are finalised and approved, we will prepare the final deliverables.
